(May 18, 2010) - Cameron Schurlknight, of Venice, Louisiana, caught a redfish and speckled sea trout totaling 53.5 inches in length to secure a win in the IFA Kayak Tour Presented by Hobie Fishing at Sarasota on May 16. The event was the ninth regular-season event overall and second in the Florida West Division for the first-year fishing tour.

An unprecedented closure of Kentucky Lake forced the cancellation of the Women's Invitational Tournament scheduled for May 6-7. Although disappointed, it didn't dampen the spirits of the women who traveled from 17 states. They converged on Moor's Resort and Marina in Gilbertsville, Kentucky for two reasons. In addition to fishing competitively, they were there to review plans and make recommendations for a new women's circuit, run by its members. They accomplished their goal and set the foundation for the new Lady Bass Anglers Association.
